Bio
Second Drive is a four member band that has been playing music with each other for over 15 years all together. They first came together with guitarist Stephen Butler and drummer Dan Hyland in October 2008. During their first two years of writing and jamming, the band was made up of only two members.
As time went by, Second Drive saw a hand full of members come and go as they searched for the best line up for the band advance into a more professional look and sound. In 2012 Second Drive finally came together with singer Michael Royal and bassist Jason "Cheezy" Martinez. Once these members were in place the band became a strong, solid group and began writing new songs and found a new energy that drove them towards new goals and dreams.
Second Drive recorded their first album in Dublin, Oh in July of 2014 which was titled "What's Left Is Decay" and was released January 31, 2015. Once their debut album was released it began to open new opportunities for the band and for the first time helped them to get shows outside of their home town. In June of 2015, Second Drive first teamed up with Revolutionary Entertainment in California which helped the band make stronger connections with the west coast. With this new relationship the band was able to target a new fan base and tour with bigger named bands.
Currently the band is writing songs for their second album and gearing up for tours on the west coast. They look forward to the future and new fans as the continue to reach out for new opportunities.
