Bio

Coming at cha’ straight from Los Angeles, CA is a new kind of girl group: one that combines the charm and character of the classic female quartets (En Vogue to Destiny’s Child) and mixed with the confidence and individuality required to set them on the same plateau. Jessica, Lummani, Angelique, and Chloe-collectively known as Se'cret. Their music is a distinctive blend of R&B, Pop, and Hip-Hop, right on time and totally in tune with contemporary trends. Their vocal harmonies sparkle, and their rhymes flow with wit and eloquence. Their backgrounds reflect the growing diversity of their country as it enters the new century. This is the new teen female quartet called Se'cret.

The oldest of three sisters, Jessica Lorraine Anderson (Virgo, September 12, 1991) was born in Columbus, Ohio; and in the summer of 2005 she and her family relocated to the Los Angeles area to pursue Jessica’s passion for music. She was just eight years old when she got her first taste of show business, singing in several local Columbus productions, showcases, charity events, and school plays. It came as no surprise to Jessica's parents when she first expressed an interest in singing. From her earliest years, Jessica remembers hearing music in her home. "My mom and dad played music all the time. I remember whenever there was a record playing, I would sit, listen, learn, and try to imitate what I heard." Surprisingly for one her age, Jessica cites The Temptations and The Stylistics as two of her all-time favorite artists. Often compared to a young Beyonce, Jessica says "I always listened to the music my parents played, and that's how I got into them. Groups like Destiny’s Child have great energy and showmanship. They are more like role models and an inspiration to me. They gave me the idea that if they could do it, I could do it too."

Born the youngest of four children, Lummani Crowder (Aquaris, born January 31, 1993) was born and raised in Altadena, California. On that very day, one of the biggest stars of our time, Michael Jackson, was performing a medley of songs at the Super Bowl XXVII Halftime Show at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California, passing on some of his star power to Lummani. She began showing her interest in singing as a young toddler and began exhibiting her talent when she began singing in a gospel choir at the age of five. She vividly remembers one special day when she was just five years old. "I had joined the choir of my church, and the choir director was leading a song and asked who wanted to sing it. I just grabbed the mic and started singing; I was so excited! And everyone was, like 'Oh my God, I can't believe how this little girl can sing! 'Since then, Lummani has accomplished may live solo performances, with her first being at the age of eight, where she performed for a Tribute to the Victims of September 11th, sponsored by The American Red Cross. Throughout the years of performing in parades, school talent shows, charity events, church choirs and other performances Lummani has become known as the "little girl with a big voice." Whitney Houston is Lummani’s favorite singer, followed closely by Mariah Carey, Beyonce and the late Selena. The making of our debut album, says Lummani, "has been a learning experience. When I first went into the studio, I was a little uncertain--I didn't know what was going to happen, but when I got into the booth and started singing, I felt so relieved. I was doing something I love to do!"

Born in Santa Monica, CA in the spring of 1993, Angelique Renee’ Paul (Aries, April 5, 1993) was first influenced by the music of legendary artists such as Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Janet Jackson, and Mariah Carey. She realized her passion for performing at the early age of seven, demonstrating a keen natural talent in everything from dance classes to singing in the church choir. With a finely honed ear for music, she even taught herself how to play the piano! A captivating spirit with a singing voice that resonates far beyond her tender age of 13, Angelique Renee’ Paul is an accomplished R&B/Pop artist and performer on the cusp of a brilliant career. Genuinely compassionate and kindhearted, Angelique empowers those around her as she leads by example, through active involvement in her community and church. She has performed on PAX Television for the Homeless Veterans Telethon, which was nationally broadcast on April 17, 2005. Her performance in part was dedicated to her Uncle who at the time was serving overseas in the US Army, to let the world know that he held a special place in her heart. Angelique enjoys performing for others and thrives in front of the camera. With grace, beauty, charm, and a gift for entertaining, Angelique is poised to become a shining star and American icon.

Chloe Smith (Capricorn born January 3, 1992) is the youngest of two! "Growing up, I heard a lot of music. I remember whenever there was music playing, I would just
