"Sedated, July 2003"

It might be hard to judge a performer by just two songs, but in the small set at The Sundowners Theater, Sedated most definitely got his message across. He uses rock guitar samples to back up his heartfelt lyrics about youth, struggle, and even death. He is not afraid to say exactly how he feels about life and the people living in it. "Son of Sam" is a spooky , rhythmic slap in the face to parents and other authority figures. Sedateds' unique voice is one of the many things that separates him from the rest of the pack. "Song Two" is an emotional tribute to Sedateds' slain friend, JoJo Thornton, but it will touch anyone who has lost somone close. Sedated invited several of his friends up on stage to join in the tribute and it made the message all the more important. - Dandercroft
