The best kept secret in music

A good rock band is what I am hearing as I listen to Salem, Indiana's Seedus for the first time. Catchy songwriting, good vocals. Singer George Napier has a gritty, down-to-earth vocal style that is appealing. It's whiskey-drinking, down-home Kentucky stoner-rock with a true southern/regional feel. I'm digging it.
Think Axel Rose meets The Black Crows meets Travis Meeks meets Black Stone Cherry.
Seriously, Napier does come up with/sing some decent, memorable melodies. Do yourself a favor and listen to them yourself at

SEEDUS is a high-energy original punk rock band which originated in Salem, Indiana, a small town 50 miles north of Louisville, KY. SEEDUS began in 2003, and has established a fan base in Southern Indiana and the Louisville Metro Area. In 2005, SEEDUS recorded their first album “Tiny Question?” at Mom’s Music.

SEEDUS has been influenced by many great bands and musicians from Johnny Cash to The Doors. SEEDUS has played at several great venues including Gerstle’s and Phoenix Hill Tavern in Louisville, KY. A memorable show would be Gobblestock 2006 at Phoenix Hill Tavern, in which SEEDUS played along with other great bands including Seven Mary Three and Saliva. SEEDUS can be heard on 93.1 The Fox Rocks during Mudd’s local unsigned primetime.
