The fifth and final band to perform was the year-old Seeing Skies. Their cover of “I Would Die 4 U” put a distinct spin on Prince’s original, turning the up-tempo Purple Rain track into an emotional lament, with lovely guitar work and a crowd sing-along. - Metro Pulse

Bio
Seeing Skies' motivation to write, record, and perform music is the longing to share raw, authentic music that connects with and inspires all audiences.
Seeing Skies began in Knoxville, Tennessee when Parke Cottrell and Garrett Thomson began meeting at a local coffee shop and discussing these ideas. They decided to write music that was completely honest and vulnerable to these thoughts and their first record was born. They wrote "Wake Up & Wake Up" and released it with Kura Records in January of 2009. Since then they have passionately promoted this record by playing every show they possibly could and delivering every show like it was their last. They always challenge one another to push the envelope on their current songs while looking for the next inspiration for a new one. Seeing Skies looks forward to a future in music.
