Seeping Into Cinemas

Seeping Into Cinemas

Happy/sad country tinged pop. Along the lines of Yo La Tengo's quieter moments, with the minimalist approach of Low.

Seeping Into Cinemas are a three piece band from Dublin. Formed in summer 2006 by ex Betamax Format guitarist Barry O' Brien, the band create a minimalist yet poppy sound, with occasional alt country overtones. O' Brien's sparse electric guitar and whispery voice are complemented by Paul Daly's delicately brushed drums, and Jarlath Cantwell's hooky bass lines. The band have played a number of gigs to date, including a slot at Dublins prestigious Ruby Sessions night, and a show at the Hard Working Class Heroes festival. Seeping Into Cinemas are keen home recording enthusiasts, and their first home made demo was well recieved, getting some airplay on Dublins Phantom FM, as well as a review on the Irish music blog, MP3 Hugger. More recent recordings were made in a studio, giving the band a somewhat more polished sound while still retaining the intimacy of their earlier home recordings.
