The best kept secret in music

Sejayno is Peter Blasser and Severiano Martinez [and Carson Garhart] -- Blasser builds analog synthesizers made from logs and coats, while poet Martinez plays bells and the tor-tor. This machine -- actually a for-hor-tor-tor -- is a device for twisting and kneading vocals, alongside the "infinite rambling" of the leather-clad phase shifters known as ambraziers and the chaotic electronic menace of the kittennettik, all evolving and devolving into something Blasser calls "serene techno." It's advanced sound-tweaking science mixed with naivete and innocence reminiscent of the first time you ever saw something like a car. - --David Cotner, LA Weekly, 2/3/05

Bio
Sejayno is enacting a multi-year-long journey from electronic time travel techniques to those based on the lute. Fellini's Satyricon describes a particularly essential mode of Sejayno. We strongly believe that as long as we truly imagine ourselves to be ancient people we will always be ancient people.
