Selci (pronounced sell-see) is a Winnipeg-born musician indie pop/electronica music with unique beats and RnB influences.

The naked human body is a powerful force. How a person chooses to showcase the naked human form has the ability to change perception and impact how we, the viewer, see it. For example, classic works of art (like the Statue of David) show nakedness in a way that’s different from the way a commercial selling body spray shows it. Selci is known for her dreamy pop vocals in Winnipeg, but recently has become a Calgary local and is looking for a big year in her new home.
“The scene back home is very awesome and eclectic too, but everything is slightly smaller in Winnipeg,” clarifies Selci.

Bio
Selci is a Canadian electro-pop musician, born in Winnipeg and currently incubating in the Calgary electronic music scene. She creates ambient tracks that exist on the fringes of pop music, with drifting melodies that wilt between whispers and power. Within these textures lives her lyrics, catching glimpses of passion, heartbreak, and a contemplative state of being. Selci's performances utilize live electronics in a deeply immersive
fashion. By live sampling, looping and playing the beat pad and keys she will take you on a cloud through the sky, passing by rainbows, thunderstorms and sunsets.
In the last year she toured Western Canada twice and has played over 50 concerts including Sled Island, Big Fun Festival and opening for Neon Indian. Selci completed her first tour of western Canada in August 2016 following the release of her limited edition EP Earth Person, which included a sold-out show at the Good Will Social Club in Winnipeg. In 2018 she released two singles, Water (Sept 2018) and Apple$ (April 2018), which came out with a surreal femme forward music video directed by Selci.
Her EP Effervescence is coming out on May 31 and will be followed with a Canadian tour.
