"Heavy Metal the new hip-hop single from Sell Ski"

“Heavy Metal” the new hip-hop single from Sell Ski

Los Angeles, CA – Rap artist Sell Ski has announced the new single from his forthcoming album, “To Be Continued.”

“Heavy Metal” is a first-class intro to the hip-hop of Sell Ski. It gives the listener a phat fix of beats and words and highlights the talents and personality of his rising rap star. His willingness to explore and bend genres is obvious on this track. “I named it ‘Heavy Metal’ because the beat is a real ‘Guitar Hero’ type of sound,” Sell Ski explains.

The song is also a brilliant sampling of the grooves grinding out of this artist’s mind. “Heavy Metal” is hook central for hip-hop fans. And surfing the waves of all the beats and body of the music is the pinnacle of what Sell Ski is all about – the rap.

Sell Ski’s vocal skills and wordplay edge mark him as a star. His rhyme schemes are full of lyrical gems that roll off his tongue with fluidity, grace and flow. Sell Ski’s ability to unleash verbage and his natural talent for channeling it into a focused onslaught of English manipulation and message-making are the ultimate weapon in his fight to the top of the hip-hop hill.

And the specific content of “Heavy Metal’s” words cement its standing as the perfect way to meet Sell Ski’s music. “The theme of the song is a run-down of my life,” he says. It’s straight-to-the-point, poetry and grit, real life as rap biography.

This man from small Anson County in North Carolina is now building a musical future begun in San Diego while he was in the Navy. What began as a hobby during service to his county has become a career. “I started rapping five years ago for fun and after that I saw I had real talent doing so and people really liked my ideas,” says Sell Ski. This 26-year-old has been performing and writing his own material from day one and just having fun and loving music has paid off with a burgeoning fan base.

Even as his light begins to shine brightly, Sell Ski stays true to his roots. “My sound has evolved over the years – with the help of fans and … I think my sound speaks for the people and myself.”

Sell Ski is currently working with A&R Select, the premier A&R firm based out of Los Angeles, CA. More information is available by visiting www.myspace.com/sellski and www.arselect.com.

Felix Seller began his impromptu rapping back when he was in the U.S. Navy in 2002. He was rapping for the fun of it – for friends and family. Felix began to notice that they wanted to hear more and so, as the story goes, Felix decided to give this rapping thing a chance. This is only the beginning of the story.

Now known as Sell Ski, he began writing and recording rap to give the industry a taste of what his friends and family already knew…..Sell Ski is good!

His new single, “808”, was created for everyone to get up out of their seats and move. It has a good funky beat and real easy to move to. The EP is being released January 27th, 2009 on Itunes, Rhapsody, Napster and AmazoneMp3. “This is a fast track view of life – not just mine, but maybe yours or your friends or family.” It is definitely a song that everyone can relate to.

In Sell Ski’s music, you will hear a little bit of a southern style to his sound. This makes it unique to other rappers and the technical programs that are used are also great to listen to.

There are no plans for touring at this time, but keep in touch with A & R Select to find out more in regards to this.

“I want to thank everyone from Anson County who helped mold me into the person I am today.”

Well done, Felix…..well done.
