Werner "Semi" Francis
Saint Lucian reggae artiste Semi has a new focus and is now singing for the conscious at heart.
Semi has released two albums “Collections 1,& 2” with executive producer Yves Lewis and a string of hits including his chart topper “Put Yourself In My Place”. He’s acquired a wealth of experience as a musician having worked the hotel, club and cruise ship circuits, which eventually led to his migration along with the band Summit to the United Kingdom.
With managers Pam and Paul Castle, the band appeared on many high profile shows, one of them being the BBC’s pebble Mill and through publisher David Most, the group signed a recording contract with RCA records. Since then Semi has performed alongside the best in the business - Sanchez, Gregory Isaacs, Culture, John Holt, Shaggy and Wyclef Jean. Semi drew further recognition with his band Oct 4 when he performed at the opening of the St. Lucia Jazz Festival.
Semi now back in St. Lucia, after recording and performing in Boston under the WildCubby music label has purposed his music with conscious lyrics with an aim to
Stimulate positive thinking in all whom it gets in contact with.
Love is the Key the debut single off his new album “Conscious Paradise” have toped the local charts picking at number one.
The album produced by the young but very talented Danyl Daniel features eleven tracks of modern roots, classic and pop reggae all with an encouraging message delivered in Semi’s signature silky smooth vocal style.
The full release of this new album is due out in the first quarter of 2011 and will be available worldwide.
