semifreak is an original, hard rock foursome from Denver. They create music, which pulls the listener in with mesmerizing melodies and break loose with the aggressiveness hooks. On stage, semifreak is energetic, professional, and refreshingly entertaining. In the studio, they are clever and resourceful. Back stage and out of the spotlight, the band is dependable and responsive.
They are an impressive group and their music wins fans weather it is experienced live at a gig or from listening to their debut release, 8 O’clock Fix. This promising, full-length CD is diverse, yet focused, and like semifreak’s live show, keeps the attention of audiences. While seeking representation, the band is going to support the recording with dates throughout the western region of the United States. The semifreak website (www.semifreak.com) is gaining popularity and will also prove helpful in moving product. The second studio release is due out summer 2006 and is anticipated to be a new, mature work surpassing all of their previous material.
Billy Coffey on drums and John Jeffers on bass, provide semifreak with the perfect rhythm section for the band’s diverse style. Gary Montoya, the guitar player, brings great skills and interestingly unique tones which set semifreak apart from other bands. The singer, Roarke Pulcino has a dynamic personality, which is represented musically through his in-your-face vocals and with the precision support of John’s voice these two deliver some awesome harmonies. The magic happens when all four players are unified in sound and soul; for then they are truly entertaining to experience.
This band intends on achieving success from having quality product, some creative marketing, a sense of humor, and a strong willingness to persist. Throughout their individual musical careers, the four men who are semifreak have faced, overcome, and learned from triumphs and adversity.
