sender...started off as a side project jam band that began solo, but was open to friends and other musicians to be a part of. You could describe the "sender sound" as Acoustic/Indie/Pop and takes it's inspiration from hawaiian slack-key, folk, indie rock, jazz and blues.
I was born and raised in Hawaii and was always surrounded by music. From my pop's neil diamond vinyls to my mom's love for musicals like westside story, sound of music, phantom of the opera, and annie--music would instantly become a passion of mine. Even my older sister influenced me by forcing me to sing the duet parts in musicals or just sing along to the newest disney movie soundtrack. Little did I know that these memories would help shape my love for music. I call it "sender" because i believe that every song has a message and that every message has....a sender.
