Sentenced 2 Live

Sentenced 2 Live

Some classify Sentenced 2 Live as a deftones meets Filter because of their gritty sound and melodic vocals. Some say that they're unclassifable like the Doors in the 70s or Nirviana in the 90s. One person put it "what most bands do is just for show what these guys THATS music"

Some minds seem almost to create themselves, springing up under every disadvantage and working their way through a thousand obstacles. From the beginning Sentenced 2 Live has overcome more obstacles than one can imagine yet through it all they have remained steadfast in the pursuit of a lifelong dream, to make music. In the fall of 2005 Sentenced 2 Live was born. Upon Josh's release from the Navy he called upon an old friend who he knew to be a great vocalist and a big dreamer. Jason didnt hesitate, he packed up his bag and moved from Orlando to Jacksonville to become the vocalist for S2L. Over time the rest of the members fell into place and S2L was formed

In early '05 S2L began a grueling practice schedule, they began writing and maturing as a band. Since their debut onto the music scene they have bringing their music to near and afar.

They have shared the stage with indie favorites such as The Pennyroyals (NYC), Loko Phylum (PA), Philler (Orlando), Echovalve (Atlanta), and have worked with major label recording artist Sam Rivers (Limp Bizkit) on their latest release Smoke and Mirrors. Shortly thereafter Sentenced 2 Live played a show for a rep from Warner Brothers Music who in his evaluation stated that these boys "have major label potential".

While pulling on a wide range of influences such as Jethro Tull, The Beatles and Pink Floyd, to current legends such as Deftones, A perfect circle, Nirvana and so many more, they have created a sound that is all their own. A mix of rock, pop, and metal combined with jaw dropping performances that will leave you wanting more. These guys are here to stake their claim in rock and roll, and there is nothing that you can do to stop them!
