Separation of Self

Formed in late summer of 2004, separation of self is composed of talented musicians from former regional acts of the salt lake city area.With members having shared the stage with national acts such as: Flaw, 40 Below Summer and ill Nino and also achieveing show opportunites with machine head, scars of tomorrow, Hed p.e, Life of Agony, Mudvayne, American Head Charge and BloodSimple to name a few, Separation of Self's following continues to grow everyday. Experienced in the scene, with members holding years of knowledge, this 5 piece has already made an impact on the Utah map. Major radio support from local stations, soaring cd sales and continued touring of the mid and mountain west thus far, is just the tip of the ice berg for their bright looking future. With their freshman release, "Caldera", in 2005 being a huge success, Separation of Self has begun the process of molding and perfecting material for their second record due out spring/summer of 2007. This album promises to be more evolved, brutal and intricate than the last, with the talent scale and ideas being limitless. With nothing seeming to be in their way, Separation of Self is pulling out all the stops and looking only forward to the future. The combination of heart pounding drops, intricate leads, relentless rhythms and dynamic vocals, makes this band a well-rounded group. With influences ranging from iron maiden and meshuggah to pink floyd and alice in chains, their musical talents put forth a roller coaster of tension and resolve..............
