Lyrics

The Dawn

Written By: Graham Walker

Cross your own 49th and I'll take you home
Its the bottom line where you conscience divides, next to mine.
Land locked waiting for a quake to come shake you love
Waiting a long long time.

When she first came she came from the west.

Does it freak you out how things they can change so quick
Your wrapped up ragged dolled and tossed into this.
While everybody else they just sits and bullshits
They're words are you're whirlwinds.

I been looking out with the prevailing winds
Hoping she'd pick you up and you'd come sailing in.
I been fixed on the westward way
While my back is being splashed by sun rays.

When she first came she came from the west

Finally saw the dawn finally moving on.
Finally see what I needed all along.
Finally saw the dawn horizons new sun.
A new light to set my sights on.
All alone.

Oh I see the dawn.
I'm running home.

Bigger Than Jesus

Written By: Graham Walker

She said boy you look good today
Wide eyed, a smile and a little scruffy.
Well thank you girl that's how I rolled out of bed
Would you like to be there when I do it again?

He said

Under your image you're beautiful.
With classic curves and a laugh I could live for.
She wants so bad to be like Miss Monroe
Haven't you heard; She overdosed.
He said and I bet.

What really matters in our lives?
Where do we go when we die?
What really matters in our lives?
I don't know, I don't know anymore.

I'd go to church but the priest is stoned
He prefers to sit at home alone
He says he prays but he watches T.V.
Its bigger than Jesus and better for his knees
He said and I bet

Lifes' what happens when you make other plans
Our own ambitions a set back man
Make your music preach peace and love
Mr. Lennon knows its not enough
He said, Lying in bed
Imagine no more war
Well then what's this living for?

What really matters in our lives?
Where do we go when we die?
What really matters in our lives?
I don't know, I don't know anymore.

In A Sense

Written By: Graham Walker

Caught between the devil and the deep blue sea
These siren songs keep on calling to me.

Caught between the devil and the deep blue sea
Got to get out, got to break free.

No matter what season I'm in
There's always something I'm addicted with.
Everybody's got these little sins

And I'm still here in a sense.

Not perfect people so why pretend.
Whats the harm in showing scares and loose ends.

Living in fear will tie us to our sins. Dig it deep six feet within.

So if your trying to be proud. We've all been to the bottom of the barrel now baby.

You could sing it out loud
Its the only song we ever nailed down.
Becomes your favorite tune
And I'm right there singing with you

Somewhere between the devil and the deep blue sea.

No matter what season I'm in
There's always something I'm addicted with
Everybody's got these little sins
And I'm still here in a sense.

Bend The Light

Written By: Graham Walker

Come on and sit back, enjoy the show
Over the next 25 years we're going to get old
You weren't right but neither was I
Wasting away wasted days go by

So bend the light and fight the morning moon
Hum to yourself your favorite summer tune
If I could send this song away
Id send it to those long dead and gone
While they were young

So tell me how were your early teens
Before I knew you when you still could dream
You saw a man on the moon
You thought to yourself "what else can we do?"

We can bend the light and fight the morning moon
You can hum to yourself your favorite summer tune
If I could send this song away
Id send it to those long dead and gone
While they were young

We said our goodbyes, we exchanged our final words
A jazz swan's song was heard
You couldn't find a reason in your failing mind
To not leave us behind
Since then we've been singing

We can bend the light and fight the morning moon
You can hum to yourself your favorite summer tune
If I could send this song away
Id send it to those long dead and on their way
While they were young

Bend the light, fight the morning moon
Have your cake and you can eat it too.

Powerless

Written By: Graham Walker

She takes the mighty, might not be nothing.
I'm begging for the beauty, she can see right through me.
She did.

I'm on my own, with an empty soul, and my heart feels hollow.
What would be better babe? My own route, or being a slave to you.
She leaves me powerless.

Heavens for the lonely, and only the good die young.
So I'm gonna live a long life, next to you my love.
If the day comes.

I'm on my own, with an empty soul, and my heart feels hollow.
What would be better babe? My own route, or being a slave to you.
She leaves me powerless.

In a blue sun dress, she leaves me powerless.

And I can almost see myself in the same shoes fifty years from now.
And I can almost see myself. It will get a guy down.
She leaves me powerless.
