Bio
Based in Denver, Colorado, Seraphs Coal is breaking through the music world’s status quo. They are proving once again that the embodiment of rock music is not a fabricated mold produced by the industry, but simply a bond shared among the band, their music, and the fans. Making this union a priority, Seraphs Coal is climbing their way to the top of the local music scene. Born in 2004 Seraphs Coal is Kurt Adams, Arick Graham, Spencer Cowen, and Jake Guildner. Spencer (guitars) and Arick (bass, backup vocals) met in a college band (Neverthirst) in 2000. In 2001, after your typical band split, they ventured away to form Telestai, although they had some success in the local scene, they seemed to struggle from day one. “It seemed like we started over each month with new faces and a new direction,” said Spencer. By 2003 the unraveling was complete and Spencer and Arick were left once again to rebuild from scratch. After trying out several drummers they crossed paths with Jake Guildner. They had a drummer. “We knew in 2 minutes that this was our guy, man can he play!” said Arick. The final piece to the band came one year later, when Kurt Adams a long time friend of Spencer’s, decided to join and get into a harder rock sound. “To be honest we weren’t even looking for another singer, but it’s usually those times when you’re not looking, you tend to find exactly what you need. Or in our case, what we were missing,” said Arick. Now complete, this innovative collaboration of talents is taking rock to the next level. Seraphs Coal guarantees a high-energy sound with great guitar riffs, driving bass and drums, overlaid by melodic vocals with lyrics submerged in passion.
