SEREN MYAMOTO

Myamoto is Project Mayhem. It's Lisbeth Salander's favourite music. It's the sound you Break Bad to. It's for the Girl Interrupted. Lara Croft listens to it on her IPod. It's playing in the Korova Milk Bar. Mia Wallace dances to it. It's banned in 1984. It is Kaiser Soze. John Connor sent it back in time. Beatrix Kiddo practices her Five Point Exploding Heart technique while listening to it. Ripley went back for the CD. It's Leeloo's Fifth Element. It's even playing in Bruce Wayne's Batmobile.

Myamoto is the work of musician Seren Myamoto - inspired by film scores, videogames, industrial, electronica, grunge, dance and leftfield pop.

Seren grew up in Wales in the UK. She trained as a classical musician, studying piano and singing but was drawn more to alternative culture, so moved to Manchester where she studied popular music and recording. There she found like minded musicians to work with, helping her develop as an artist.

“I’ve always wanted to create something different that would satisfy all my musical tastes. It’s a challenge. I’ve been lucky to work with producers who have understood this and pushed me in the studio”.

Seren says the best advice she has had as an artist is to be herself without caring about what others think would be cool.

Seren is now based in New York city, working towards an E.P release later this year and intends to establish Myamoto in New York’s independent music scene.
