"Pensar Algo Mejor" (Thinking of Something Better") was finished on May, 2007. It is my band's, Maracas Brain, album. The band is myself singing and on bass, as well as a couple of other people.

I started getting into music when I was in high school in Guatemala, where I actually played my first concert at 17. Moving on to Ecuador, I became the singer for a band with which I participated in a TV contest, in the end tying in first place with another group. My band then recorded a demo which caught the eye of EMI Odeon in Chile. Alas, things did not work out due to some of our band member's finding other priorities. I was in a couple of more bands in Ecuador before I actually moved to Mexico. In Mexico, I met up with Miguel Angel Arenas (Alejandro Sanz's producer and also the discoverer of Sanz and Mecano, a famous band from Spain) and he introduced me to people from EMI and Warner. Needless to say, things did not go as planned, but by knocking on more doors, I got signed at Universal for some songs of mine (not presented here).
My influences vary a lot because I can listen to Bon Jovi, WASP, Sheryl Crow, Rush, and Bob Dylan in the morning, and then be listetning to the Backstreet Boys, Justin Timberlake, and Beyoncé in the afternoon, only to go to classical music at night. So the short answer: beats me what my specific influences are, but one thing I know is that I make pop rock music mainly.
I love music but still have something else which I lovev to do: I give English writing skills and speech classes in a high school in Mexico City.
