Bio
Born in Mexicali, Mexico, he began singing at the young age of 3. At age 5 his family moved to the city of Ensenada, Mexico to start a new life. This is where his love for the R&B, Soul, and Gospel genres began. During his years in elementary school he performed in various school festivals as a singer.
It was in junior high, at the age of 11, when he joined the schools’ orchestra as a flutist and a saxophonist. During this time, he joined the Centro de Estudios Musicales (CEM) attending classes for the flute and violin. He then joined the Orquesta Juvenil de Baja California where he would later realize that the classical music was not what he wanted to pursue.
With this in mind he left the orchestra to follow his fathers’ footsteps by starting a local pop/rock band at the age of 14. Throughout this period, with the help of an uncle, he had learned to play the piano. The success of the band lead to many invitations to perform in the most prestigious festivals held in the city of Ensenada.
It was at the age of 15 that he was asked to join a church choir. In the years to follow he became music director and had the chance to apply his Gospel influences, leading them to many achievements including the title for Best Song and Performance at the Concurso de Canto Vocacional. The following 7 years he alternated between the choir, band, and school.
At the age of 17, he began his career in engineering at the Universidad Autonoma de Baja California (UABC). This was the same year he began to write, produce and record his own music. Five years later he successfully graduated as a Civil Engineer and was working as a construction supervisor for two cruise terminals and a yacht marina in Ensenadas’ Harbor. It was at this time that he received an invitation to join one of the most renowned bands in the state of Baja California and decided to leave his career as a Civil Engineer to pursue his lifetime dream: Music. This is when his journey began. He will begin to gain various professional achievements in the years to come.
