Ali Ollie Woodson, led the Motown quintet The Temptations in the 1980s and ‘90s. Ali played an integral part in restoring The Temptations to hit-making glory with songs like “Treat Her Like A Lady,” which he wrote, “Lady Soul,” “Soul To Soul”, and “Some Enchanted Evening.” In 2003, the legendary former lead singer of The Temptations, Ali Ollie Woodson, hand-picked Serieux after witnessing their high energy, smoothly-choreographed, harmonious performance at the Greektown Casino in their home city of Detroit, Michigan. He knew this was the group with whom he wanted to tour. Ali and this group has performed his Temptation Show nationally as well as internationally. . From 2000 to 2010, Ali and Serieux traveled the world performing Ali’s Temptation Show until his death on May 30, 2010, leaving his musical legacy in good hands.

 

“Dynamic,” “Awe-Inspiring,” “Breathtaking” and “Mind Blowing” are words used by audiences around the globe to describe the explosive entertainment provided by Ali Woodson Temptations Show Featuring Serieux, a group of high impact singers and musicians, who have recaptured the excitement of the legendary Motown sound that continues to captivate the world.

 

This group continues to tour taking their astonishing  musical abilities to performances in well-known casinos in Detroit, Michigan and Las Vegas, Nevada. They have appeared with the following: Earth, Wind and Fire, The Four Tops, The Neville Brothers, K.C. and the Sunshine Band, The Manhattans. The Whispers, The O’Jays, Ray Goodman and Brown, Jean Carne, Enchantment and The Classic Soul Cruise. They also performed in a Motown Musical "Come and get these Memories" with Martha Reeves, won acclaim as “The Temptations” in “Marvin, My Brother - The Marvin Gaye Story” and played the Soul Stirrers in the “Sam Cook Story”. The demand for great entertainment has taken this group all over the United States from coast to coast and internationally in Montego Bay, Jamaica, Manila, Philippines, Toronto, Canada, Japan and France.

 

May 2007 Serieux once again joined forces with another Temptation and former lead singer of the Spinners, GC Cameron. Cameron was a key writer on the new CD and sung as a guest vocalist. In March 2009 as they launched their first CD entitled “I Can Give You Love.” The CD has gained recognition and excited the ears of fans throughout the US, UK, Europe and Japan. The new CD will tantalize the music lover in you with songs such as: Keep Running Back,” “My Hearts on Fire,” “I Can Give You Love,” “Du The Damn Thang,” and the Hall and Oats classic “Sarah Smile.”

 

Serieux was voted by Detroit Metro Area Musicians and Entertainment Association (DMAMEA) as the Best R&B Vocal Group in Southeastern Michigan. Other winners included; Aretha Franklin (Legendary Choice Award) and Anita Baker (Achievement Award). In 2009 Serieux was voted best R&B vocal group in Michigan by the Black Music Award Association.
