"A Fire Grin in a Chaotic Adrenaline"

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia - Seringai had confused the hard-distorted 'sect' of music worshipers when it first appeared several years ago. The music unit from Jakarta processes various genres to produce a new substance called high octane rock.

Time proves, Seringai is selling well, even a dozen years later.

But the last album released by Seringai was released six years ago. It is only now, to be exact at the end of July 2018, the band that has line up of Arian 13 (vocals), Ricky (guitar), Sammy (bass), and Khemod (drums) finally launched a new album, titled Seperti Api.

Previously, a new music video titled "Selamanya" had already been launched as a bridge to the new album. It seemed to be an explanation of how to have fun with Seringai in the album of Seperti Api.

This album contains 12 songs and is packaged in two editions, box sets and regular CDs.

The box set edition is priced at Rp 150.000. The contents are complete. Seringai gives the Wolf Militia (as the fans call it) some additional artifacts besides a CD, two post cards, four stickers, a patch, and a poster.

The lyrical themes that they talked about in this album were even more relevant for now, even decades later. For example, Disinformation that highlights the issue of hoaxes, Enam Lima who talk about a dark tragedy in Indonesia in the year of 1965, and the nonsense that is intended to silence all 'foolishness' around us.

For matters of seriousness in fun, a song titled Adrenalin Merusuh is the answer. This three-minute 39-second song is capable of portraying the daily life of Seringai as one of the bands in Indonesia with a fairly solid show schedule.

At a glance this song seems to ignite the enthusiasm of the musicians to fight for their dreams.

"I have no complaints
My life is like a vacation
Come on!
Like fire, adrenaline is chaotic
I set this path, adrenaline rioting!" - CNN Indonesia

Generasi Menolak Tua

Seringai is one of the main players in Indonesia's rock/metal scene nowadays. Influenced by the darkness of Black Sabbath, the velocity of Motorhead and Black Flag's hardcore punk recklessness, Seringai combine those essential ingredients to form high octane rock music that guarantees moshpit fun, with lyrics that intelligently tackle social-political issues and celebrate the simple pleasures of getting wasted.

Formed in 2002 by vocalist Arian 13, guitarist Ricky Siahaan, drummer Edy Khemod and bassist Sammy Bramantyo, Seringai released its debut mini-album 'High Octane Rock' in 2004, followed by 2007's full-length 'Serigala Militia' which featured adrenaline-inducing anthems such as "Mengadili Persepsi (Bermain Tuhan)" and "Berhenti di 15".

Their sophomore effort, 'Taring' (2012), served up more breakneck crowd favorites such as "Dilarang di Bandung" and "Tragedi". Though their recordings have received much acclaim, at the end of the day Seringai is a live band, equally at home crushing small stages in intimate clubs or driving thousands of moshers into a frenzy festivals (national and regional scenes).

No wonder they were the only Indonesian metal band invited to open for Metallica's 2013 concert in Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta. Playing in front of 60.000 metal fans, the band performance was a huge success.

Recently, they have released their latest full legth CD, ‘Seperti Api’, which received many accolades and won the AMI Awards 2018 (Indonesian Grammy) for Best Metal / Hardcore category.

Seringai had just finished "Seperti Api Japan Tour 2019" from April 16th to 23rd 2019 of which they played for 4 shows including headlining the sold out Everloud Festival Vol.3 at Wild Side Tokyo, Japan.
