Originally from Jamaica in the parish of Trelawny, Wayne’s life started off Very tragically at 3 months old he lost his mother to a hit and run drunk driver while tying her shoe laces on the bus bench where he sat. Also abandon by his father, he then walked his way out of the hole to be taken in by his Aunt and Uncle. Blak first realized he can chat pon the mic when he entered a Hurricane (Gilbert) Relief contest and won. Thus spark his interest in music. He began free-styling, writing rhymes, and followed the popular music by many, at the time.
Blak finally had his chance to come to the USA in 1987. The transition was smooth, but had a hard time adapting because of his strong Jamaican accent. He soon attended High School in Florida where he formed his first group “The Unexpected” which was short lived after graduation. He began doing solo acts and again forming a few more groups before realizing the dedication required was not accompanied by his peers. Though still he kept on trodding.
