Bio

Serlin Spur is a Cleveland Lottery League creation.  Formerly Band 22, the outfit evolved into a Surf Punk Rockabilly machine.  Highlighted by Taylor Sunami's haunting vocals & Brad's sweet & twangy guitars, the sound is reminiscent of Aimee Mann fronting the Ventures, with a sprinkling of Kim Deal Pixie dust thrown in for good measure.

Taylor Sunami is a Colorado native and daughter of vocalist Al Nagy of the Blue Eyed Soul Band.  She started her 1st Cleveland Band, Stuck on Velcro, as a teen in 2007.  Since then she's performed both on stage and radio, (solo) as Taysu Naj, and (with bands) Speaking in Tongues, Solid Gold Dancers, Power Outage, Not Guilty Band, Nah Nah, and a new riot girl band, amongst other projects and theater shows.  She's also a featured vocalist on Dissolution, the latest album of the Deadbeat Villans.  Serlin Spur is her newest band and is turning out to be one of her favorites!

Brad Sweet is a Lorain, OH native.  A guitarist & mandolin player since 2004, he has been in the Tremblers since 2013.  A veteran of frequent jam nights, he has crafted his playing with many NE Ohio mainstays.  Tired of being a side man, he is trying his hand in more of a leadership role with the Spur.  When not playing, he finds his muse through cycling.

Jeni D. has been playing drums for over 30 years.  An Iowa native, she gained fame with Des Moines based Johnny Toast before arriving in Cleveland and joining S.O.M.(Stab-O-Matic).  Displaying a glassy-eyed look & a tendency to set her cymbals on fire, she later joined Violent Suburban Marriage, who were ironically neither violent, nor married ( at least not to each other).  After a fortuitous team up in Philadelphia, she joined David Loy & the Ramrods and has been transformed into the rockabilly cat that destiny foretold.

Poindexter is a Philadelphia native and a 30 year veteran of NE Ohio's music scene.  He has played bass for the Waynes, Pleasure Void, the Decline, Pale Hollow, Plasma, Hairwolf,, Alexis Antes, Ethan Flack, & Elizabeth Mis.  He has been endorsed by Rotosound Strings Inc. & Washburn Guitars.  He was also a cast member of Tony'N Tina's Wedding, the most staged production in Playhouse Square history.
