Bio

SERVICES are TRZTN and Christopher Pravdica, former members of the well-known noise rock outfit Flux Information Sciences (Young God Records). Resolute in their creation of challenging high-concept music, the two stay close to their live show performance of smart, stop and go machine-gun fire of beats and sample driven rock played in real time without a sequencer. “The duo doesn’t just rock the synths,” Elisabeth Vincentelli from Time Out New York praises, “It also rolls and swings and shimmies them, cranking out one booty-shaking number after another…like Blues Explosion crossed with the roar of a Sherman tank!”

Trztn, artist, incendiary thinker, and owner of the idiosyncratic Pinksock Records label, has collaborated with FM Einheit (of Einstuerzende Neubauten fame), Electro Atomu (who Trztn shared another band: Sauna Kings), and German Techno legends Dr. Walker and Khan (Bedroom Productions). He also produced and released The Melted Men's last record, as well as founding and fronting the seminal New York band Flux Information Sciences, whose last record was released on Michael Gira’s Young God Records.

Mr. Christopher Pravdica, professional father and slave to the women, was the bass player in The Supreme Dicks, Flux Information Sciences and the Gunga Din (who released 2 records on Jet Set Records). He’s worked in the studio with Jim Sclavunos (Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds), Larry Mullins (Iggy Pop/ Residents), Kid Congo Powers (Cramps/Gun Club) to name a few.

In 2005 SERVICES signed with A Touch of Class Recordings, a label mostly known for their up-to-the-moment dance music, and released their debut album titled Your Desire Is My Business, co-produced and mixed by DJ/production duo A Touch Of Class (a.k.a. ATOC) and legendary producer Roli Mosiman (The The, Faith No More, New Order). In the summer ATOC DJs and SERVICES teamed up for a massive European tour to play in all types of venues: from Lisbon to Moscow, Art Basel parties to the Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona.

In 2006 SERVICES blasted audiences in May at All Tomorrow’s Parties Festival before joining the Yeah Yeah Yeahs for several shows in the UK. Around the same time SERVICES released their first 12” single “Element of Danger” with remixes by MSTRKRFT and ATOC. Steve Aoki took notice and listed it as one of the best tracks of 2006.

This year SERVICES embark on their first US tour withtheir first nationwide US tour with hailed indie synth-pop band THE FAINT.

In October, SERVICES will release a 5 song EP tentively titled "Skin Tight". The EP is produced by ATOC, with Brian Chase from the YEAH YEAH YEAHS behind the drums. The first single from the "Skin Tight EP" will feature remixes from MSTRKRFT & NICK ZINNER. A Music Video directed by Barnaby Roper (Outkast, Franz Ferdinand, OK Go) will also be out in the Fall.
