BandRockAlternative

Enough energy to power a small country. High energy, lyrically rich, melodic rock. A female fronted fusion of folk, rock, and soul with a chick on the kit and two guys referred to as the 'echo brothers'. You get the picture.

Biography

Conceived in 2001 in NYC, SERYN already has one EP under their belt and is in the process of finishing off a full album.
Originally formed to do a demo it became evident in the studio that there was something in this band that had to be pursued further. Within 6-months of forming they were back into the studio to record "Drive" their first 7-song EP. Back to the clubs to play they received an incredible response from their growing number of fans.
Over the next year, with so much happening in the world around them, the songs just kept flowing. Not wanting to stop the creative process they continued to evolve.
With another 10 songs ready to go they headed back for the recording studio For the moment, the 7-song EP "In the aftermath. . ." is available as a preview of what is to come in the full length release. The album is due to be available by the end of this year.

Lyrics

Drive

Written By: Seryn

V1
Here we lie, arms and legs intertwined
Though not a word has passed for hours over your lips or mine
Now I know that you need time to get some space between these lines
But did you ever think I might be there waiting on the other side?

CHORUS
I don't care, I'm with you
We can go wherever you want to
We've just got to move to stay alive
C'mon just make a decision and drive

V2
I could leave you now and I could find the easy life
I could run and be a lover, be someone's mother, someone's wife
But if you'd just decide I would go with you for the ride
There's got to be a better something lying somewhere on the other side

CHORUS
I don't care, I'm with you
We can go wherever you want to
We've just got to move to stay alive
C'mon just make a decision and drive

BRIDGE
Does anybody hear you cry or see you die inside
It's like watching suicide
I don't want to eat you up alive
But I would go there for the ride
I would go with you for the ride

CHORUS
I don't care, I'm with you
We can go wherever you want to
We've just got to move to stay alive
C'mon just make a decision and drive

Sunday Afternoon

Written By: Seryn

V1
Sitting on my front porch on a Sunday Afternoon
I've got my coffee in my hand Thumbing through the Daily News
I ain't got nothing on my mind
Got no reason to complain
I'm looking on the sunny side instead of standing numb in the rain
Got no time for yesterdays
Yesterday can't hold on to me

CHORUS
'Cause I ain't got the time
Time to search for something that I might not ever find

V2
Stretch my legs and close my eyes
I smile at my friends who stop by
We talk about the bar last night, all the fools the feeling fine
Something's settled in my brain
I'm different but I am the same
I'm me but me without the pain
I think I'm finally finding my way
Got no time for yesterdays
Yesterday can't hold on to me

CHORUS
'Cause I ain't got the time
Time to search for something that I might not ever find
