Bio
Seth has been playing the bar scenes of Statesboro, Savannah and Macon, Georgia since 2003. Being born in Jacksonville, FL and having lived in three states below the Mason/Dixon line Seth Kegley has been exposed to many forms of music from an early age. Growing up the son of a Baptist minister, Seth was inundated with the sounds of Gospel music early in his life. With age came the curiosity to find "what all was out there." It was in this curiousity that Seth began listening to the singer/songwriters of the 60's and 70's, mainly the likes of Bob Dylan, Neil Young, James Taylor, Jim Croce, and many others. As Seth got into his college years he became interested in bands like Counting Crows, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and the Alt-Country stylings of Whiskeytown. Seth also has been heavily influenced by more modern singer/songwriters such as Ryan Adams, and Edwin McCain. Seth uses songwriting as a kind of therapy, " If it weren't for writing lyrics I would have probably imploded by now. It is songwriting that really keeps me balanced and sane."
