Bio

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Jazz (from Merriam-Webster dictionary):
American music developed especially from ragtime and blues and characterized by propulsive syncopated rhythms, polyphonic ensemble playing, varying degrees of improvisation, and often deliberate distortions of pitch and timbre.

Journeyman musicians John Richards, Michael Doster, and Patton James are not the typical Nashville Cats.

These seasoned band-leaders and in-demand session players have combined efforts to create "top shelf" jazz and blues, in addition to a unique concoction of swing and lounge music.

Each member has achieved individual success (John Richards - John Richards Trio, Michael Doster - B.B. King, Patton James - Patton James & The Synchromatics) and now Set Jet Trio has become their main focus and musical outlet.

Their mix of personal influences and solid musicianship is authentic and affords them the ability to create music and not simply copy what has already been done.
