Huge hooks and smashing choruses flirt with one another in songs such as "Easier and “Temptation," while the band's inherent charm shines through in tracks like, "Harder to Breath" and "These Shoes." Seven days are as charismatic on record as they are live, with an astonishing ability to craft scores of classic songs that make people move. Having prolific musicianship and song writing ability, a band like this doesn't come around often.
Seven Days are made up of band members Ian White on vocals and guitar , Nicky Brennan on lead guitar, Darren Sweeney on bass and Ricky Byrne on drums. The band had an amazing first year together. Among their first performances was the “Platform V” battle of the bands held at the “Late Lounge” in Kill. Their first place achievement earned them a slot on the “New Bands Stage” at the Oxegen festival where they received an outstanding response from over 3000 people. Since then the band hit Modern World Studios in England to record the first steps toward their album with acclaimed producer Greg Haver (Manic Street Preachers/Super Furry Animals. “Outside” The first single released from these recordings in June 2010 charted for two consecutive weeks and caught the attention of many different radio stations around the country, still earning regular play.
The band pride themselves on their tight and captivating live performances which have been witnessed alongside artists such as the ‘Republic of Loose’ ‘The Coronas’
‘The Blizzards’ and ‘Aslan’, not to forget a constant schedule of headlining gigs throughout the country with their energetic and passionate displays which are a breath of fresh air to its listeners.
In June 2010 they won the prestigious Hot Press ‘Tiger Untamed’ competition beating off stiff opposition from Irelands finest unsigned acts and claiming €20,000 in prizes. This has made these four relentless musicians one of the most talked about bands on the Irish scene.
At the moment ‘Seven Days’ are currently preparing for the release of their next single ‘Voices’ which can be previewed at www.myspace.com/sevendaysofficial along with an extensive nationwide tour in October when the band return from a small tour in Munich, Germany.
