Biography

Seven Devil Fix began quietly in origin though not in sound, initially created as one of the local church The Gathering's three house bands. Then called Crutch, they played mostly covers until evolution and a combined passion for music drove them to start writing their own material. Name changes soon followed - from Crutch to Slipstream to Nuhaven - before the band settled at last on Seven Devil Fix. Under the new name of Seven Devil Fix and influenced heavily by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nine Inch Nails, and the Tea Party, the band wrote songs that played up their heavy rock sensibilities and morphed into their own uniquely hybrid sound. A successful fusing of ideals that prompted one local reviewer to call Seven Devil Fix the "sound of hope interspread with frenetic funk" A screamingly good time in concert, the boys know how to entertain in a live show from their respective days learning the ropes in previous bands and have opened for such acts as King's X. With the current band lin-up, Mike Pershon commands lead vocals, while Dave Howard tears up the lead guitar slot. Dean Cottrell brings bass guitar and back up vocals to the mix and Talyor Reese lets loose on Drums and Vocals
