Sevenhurtz formed in 2006 and had some instant success with their song Overyou getting picked up by Billabong as the feature song on the Worldwide release DVD Passion Pop. Overyou then appearing on the MX Magazine DVD Behind Bars under the abbreviated name 7hrtz.

Sevenhurtz would start recording their debut album but it would take a little longer than planned. In 2009 Sevenhurtz after trying a number of line ups would finish its permanent line up with singer Clint Hansen and guitarist Troy Martin. These 2 brought the extra elements to the music that the band had been looking for and after a number of successful shows Sevenhurtz decided to put the album together.

Sevenhurtz commenced recording the album in early 2010 at Brenton's studio (halfway Studios) on the Gold Coast. Taking care with the recording and producing the songs more and more, this process would consume the next 10 months. Sevenhurtz engaged professional mixing team Mark Opitz and Colin Wynne to mix and do additional production on the first 7 tracks of the album at Thirty Mill Studios Melbourne, whilst in Melbourne on the last night Troy, Nathan and Brenton came up with the name for the album Room Of Confusion (taken from some lyrics and the bands strange fortunes). After this careful process and now the release of our first single “Crave” in june 2011 we think it will make 2012-13 Sevenhurtz most successful years yet.
