Is it possible that “funk rock” could be touched by the power of the cross and radically speak life to a 21st Century generation? What began as a heartfelt desire in two musicians (Ricardo and Richard) who shared the same love for classic urban music and the vision to utilize it to proclaim the life-changing message of Jesus Christ would quickly become a living reality!

Sevenlove (which simply means, “God’s perfect love”) is an explosive Christian band that hails from the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Since it's inception in 1998, Sevenlove has had the privilege of performing throughout the Metro DC, Maryland and Virginia region-sharing their musical experience at various Christian coffeehouses, worship services, special music and community events.

Our musical sound is not traditional in terms of gospel, praise and worship, or even contemporary Christian but a mixture of all. We have a 70's-80's hard Funk Rock R&B sound that doesn't water down the Jesus lyrics. Our mission is to to utilize the tool of urban contemporary music to minister to those who wrestle with the issue of living boldly for Christ in this present world-while tearing down man-made traditions that have prevented people from appreciating God.
