"Seven Stories Up to release "Falling""

The four-piece worship rock band Seven Stories Up is ready to release Falling, their debut project with VSR Music Group/EMI-CMG Distribution.

Out May 19, this Atlanta-based group is no stranger to touring as they continue to hit the road performing at churches, festivals and teen camps, and are more than eager to get the word out about Falling.

"There is a general theme throughout that makes the name Falling really make sense," states frontman Andy Rocker. "Falling is a statement which puts into words who we are as followers of Jesus and how we are going to take His Gospel to the nations and to the darkest places of the world that haven't yet even learned what it's like to say hallelujah."

"We are all really excited about these songs and we know God has a big plan to change lives through the message He has given us through this music," Rocker reveals. "Our prayer and hope is for His Word and Gospel to go forth into the world using these songs as a vessel and a catalyst to lead people to "fall" in love with Jesus Christ."

Illustrating some of the songs from Falling, Rocker shares, "'My King' and 'Hallelujah' are anthems shouting loud the name of Jesus Christ and declaring to the world that He is our King and that we have a reason to sing and be joyful!"

The song "Taking Over" was written about overcoming addictions that plague people all over the world, and yet the song rejoices in finding victory in overcoming the addiction.

Rocker conveys, "I'm on this journey with the guys in my band and we're trying to write songs and make music that can help people learn what it's like to express their love for Jesus, and for those who don't know who Jesus to help them get a better understanding of His grace in their lives."

Their worshipful and energetic first single to radio is "My King," is currently going for adds at AC, CHR stations nationwide.

Just added to their active touring schedule, Seven Stories Up is confirmed to perform at Rock the Universe in Orlando this September. Along with their regular touring dates, earlier this month the band appeared for the third time at the Winter Teen Retreat of Spring Hill Camp, a non-profit Christian camp and retreat ministry located in Evart, Michigan. With their energetic music and ministry being such an amazing impact on the teens, the band was asked to return again this spring and in the fall. - www.ChristianityToday.com

"Seven Stories Up to rock the Gospel"

Seven Stories Up (VSR Music Group / EMI-CMG) will be performing on February 6, 7 and 8 in Evart, Michigan at Spring Hill Camps. Taking part in the annual Winter Teen Retreat, the band will lead worship with 1,500 students into a love encounter with their Savior. The Atlanta, GA-based band will be making their third appearance at the camp.

“We keep going back Spring Hill because the people are amazing and the way they love on high school and middle school kids is so exciting to see,” says frontman Andy Rocker. “It’s different because they devote themselves to excellence in how they relate the gospel to the kids. They go out of their way to make sure kids experience the love and grace of Jesus in every aspect of the retreat.”

Now in its 40th year, Spring Hill Camp “offers a distinctive camping experience for kids and teens. Creative housing, exciting activities, and scriptural teaching” are built into the syllabus. Spring Hill Camps is a designated 501(c)3 charitable institution and a mem8ber of the Evangelical Council For Financial Accountability.

Past Spring Hill Camp performers include Superchick, Phil Wickam, Attaboy, Sevenglory and Red Umbrella.

The foundation of SSU was laid in 2002 when Rocker received his calling. Making a name for himself as an accomplished Worship leader, Rocker honed his views into a whole new relationship with our Savior. Since then, Rocker and his band have signed on with VSR Music Group / EMI-CMG with a debut album set for release on April 21, 2009. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Bebo Norman, Derek Webb, Angels & Airwaves, Chris Tomlin and Dashboard Confessional, the album successfully blends rock and ministry into an exciting and energetic devotion to the Gospel. - www.jtindie.com

Bio

Since the summer of 2002, Seven Stories Up front man Andy Rocker knew that his calling in life was to lead people into the presence of God through music. For six years Rocker traveled around the southeast and other parts of the country leading worship for various churches and youth groups with the sole task of helping people experience and encounter the King of the universe.

Now signed to VSR Music Group/EMI-CMG, Rocker and his band now have the vehicle to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to a much wider audience. “It’s not about us; it’s not really about the music,” says Rocker. “It's about the fact that we, as a band, have been given a message of hope and restoration! We are placing Christ at the helm of this and following where He leads; He is our compass.”

Rocker and the guys are really excited to see where God takes them. With opportunities arising for ministry all over the world, they’re really pressing into the Word of God to make the right decisions and go exactly where He wants them to go. “We’ve already seen some really amazing things in the short time we’ve been playing as a band. We’ve seen people healed of things as small as headaches and as big as broken or out of place bones. We know that God wants to use us merely as vessels to show people how great He really is and how amazing His love is,” says Rocker.

So if all you’re looking for is a concert, then these guys aren’t really for you. They won’t just come in and play 5 or 6 songs and be done. They’re ready to see lives changed. “Each night is different, and each encounter with our God is legendary, that is what makes our job so much fun!”
