Seven Strait

As a group we are young to the stone, but at a second glance you can hear influences of the ages in our original music. Ranging from Jimi Hendrix or some old school Motown, long time favorites of bassist and groove guy Cody Penny. With a pick me up action packed rock beat, Ryan Pegg flavors the antidote, influenced by SNFU and The Smalls. Jammin' even further into the band you'll experience the edge and attitude from front man Dustin Penny, mimicking greats like Elvis came naturally and eventually he turned it into a harder more modern sex type thing. Finally into the band he brings with him, a decade of grunge and a hunger for a good time. Jace Matlock's rhythmic guitars echo through the crowd for an exploding lift in the shows atmosphere.

Our sound ? One word comes to mind that we can all agree on, and that would be huge. Sometimes it's monstrous........ controlled chugs, melodic bass lines, clever lyrics and thunderous drums all aid to our bands originality. As a moderately paced band, we fit well with most genres of rock and also host a wide variety of musical backgrounds. Our live show is entertainment at it's best. Seven Strait's high energy stage performance with lazers, smoke and occasional confetti cannons, pound the crowd with as much intensity as the music itself. As loud, as proud and as fast as we get, we are able to take the opposing stance and mellow things out for a power ballad or groovy number.

All of this being said we are humbled by each others different styles and backgrounds. Open individuals which make us easy to work with and always creative with our surrounding environment and unmistakable sound. Communicating well with each other and staying current with new material is a major focus, we try and write as much as possible and this far have seen satisfying results all around the table.
