Bio

"Seven Under Suicide play some of the most palatable rock and roll in this area with strong vocals and driving guitar." -Dave Weinthal - Enigma Magazine

This statement sums it all up. Seven Under Suicide, a name that has become known in the Chattanooga area and beyond as a band that provides high-energy showmanship and some of the most listenable music around. Their full force, onslaught of punching guitars, smooth bass lines and vocal melodies will touch your soul. SUS is Marty Manus (vocals/guitar), DaNo (lead/rhythm guitars), Zach "Hutch" Hutcherson (bass), and Red "Boogie Red" Souther (drums)

Started in 2004 SUS has been through many trials and tribulations and didn't realize it's full potential until very recently. Between fall 2005 and spring of 2006 Seven Under Suicide recorded an 8 song EP and had more than 40 live performances. But it wasn't until 2006 when veteran Chattanooga musician and producer DaNo to the mix that things really began to take shape.

By fall of 2006 their debut album "7 Seasons" was recorded and released and SUS began playing shows in support of the new venture. The success of the album quickly brought SUS into the mainstream of the Chattanooga music scene and provided many new and exciting opportunities including being one of the opening acts for Atlantic recording artists "Shinedown".
Due to unforseen circumstances the band lost their bass player and drummer in spring of 2007. "We weren't sure if we wanted to continue" says DaNo. "It's very difficult to regroup after losing half of your band". After much discussion and pleadings from the fans, Marty and DaNo decided to search for new members.

As it turned out this was just the thing that SUS needed to bring them to the next level. "Zach and Red came out to audition and it was immediately evident what we had" says Manus. Adding one of the areas most knowledgeable and skilled musicians in Hutcherson, and a power house drummer in Souther, SUS immediately began writing new material and is currently in the process of recording the first EP with the new lineup.
