Biography

Seven Weapons is a solo singer/songwriter inspired by Saint Caterina of Bologna's book 'The Seven Spiritual Weapons' to write and share her inner musings. Her music often has a uniquely luminous, ethereal quality due to a self taught, free flow picking style. SW's voice wanders and skips over the top of this accompaniment with poetic lyricism. Performing a set that is diverse, full of light and shade, gentle and firm and always changing, she is well known for bringing the audience together and connecting on a rare level.

Lyrics

Apple Tree

Written By: Lara Malin

She sips her tea
by the apple tree
as she watches the sun
go down,
on her head
she wears a crown.
Her eyes are blue
and they look through you
as she silently
leaves the ground,
there's a radiance can be found.
And on the ground
a tiny seed
falls from the apple tree..
takes it's root
by her feet
and we all know it will be
full of apples sweet.
She's flying home
floating home
waltzing home
flying home.
So I sip my tea
by the apple tree
as i watch her sun go down,
on my head I wear her crown.
My eyes aren't blue
but they look through you
as I long to leave the ground
feel her radiance around.

Day in December

Written By: Lara Malin

Will I ever hear your door slam on my driveway,
your feet run on my back porch
and your hand on my door

Will I ever hear you call my name
or will your name light up
on my phone

Oh where are you now the lights are low and the
radio it plays my favourite tune

Oh where are you now the moon is laying lasers cross my
kitchen floor and I'm looking for my dance partner

Winter's setting in and summers distant memories are swirling back again
The tide, the tide is coming in

Lavender sweet honey moonlight in your company fresh Frangipani picked for my hair
And just for a while I felt like sunshine and you smiled
like a teenager
Oh just for a while I felt like sunshine and you smiled
like a teenager

So, where are you now the lights are low and the radio it plays
my favourite tune

Oh where are you now the moon is laying lasers cross my kitchen floor and I'm looking for my dance partner

A day in December and I do remember the way we were,
the sweet sweet sweet way we were
Oh I remember

Set List

My sets are always different depending upon my mood or the season. I always have a new song to add. I like to string them together as a story for the stage.

Usually 7 -12 original songs in a set.

I only do covers if requested.
