SEVERE is Lennie Neville (guitars), Rob Rhymes (drums) and Kris MacKinnon (vocals & bass guitar), the trio, from their beginnings
in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada, set out simply to 'write great rock songs' without labels.
The guys headlined a slew of local gigs and quickly re-located to Vancouver, B.C. and shared various stages with acts ranging from Gob to Voivod. While in Vancouver, the bands first full length studio CD, MOSS, was recorded and released. The material found on Moss, which has been scheduled for re-release this summer, captured the unit's unique raw and aggressive live sound. Moss was recorded on a budget of less than $2000 and delivers memorable impacting songs like "Trash TV', 'RoadKill' and 'Delirium'.
Unlike their heavy rock counterparts Severe don't seem to take themselves too seriously and are featured in the upcoming independant Canadian
comedy film 'The Adventures of Riffa and Splice'.
Severe has recently recorded new music and a new track 'Down With The Causeway' will be in the film.
