Severed Hand is a Heavy Metal band from New Jersey who play hard and heavy and never stop rockin'. Influenced by Iced Earth, Iron Maiden, Pantera, Slayer, Styx, Guns and Roses, Metallica, Skid Row and many others, Severed Hand has been featured on VH1, reported by on metal newssite blabbermouth.net, "detected" on rockdetector.com, and even got a rave review on billboard.com last summer when the band opened for Sebastian Bach. Formed in 1999 by Paul Christian, Severed Hand started out as a band of high school friends covering Offspring and Blink 182 songs who, in 2002, added drummer Paris Bierk(son of Sebastian Bach) to their line up and became a metal band who made a impression on the Jersey scene, especially when Sebastian Bach himself invited the band to open up for him in Towson, Maryland at the Recher Theater and at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey. The band later added vocalist Walter Figueroa to the lineup in late 2004. Walter, a clean vocalist with breathtaking range, has elevated Severed Hand to status never before dreamed of. The band is currently adding the final touches to their debut CD, "Keep Your Wives Inside", which is scheduled to be released this summer.
