Severed Reign story starts in 2005. the 5 band members of Iron Maiden tribute 2 Minutes To Maiden decided to do an original metal project performing and writing it's own songs. a 2 song demo was recorded which eventually lead to the release of their first self-titled cd in 2009. the band has 5 distinct writers and uses influences from all genres to create it's sound. the band lives to play live and has opened for Thine Eyes Bleed, Blinded By Faith, Terratomb, Thy Flesh Consumed and Black Moor among others. In the summer of 2011, the band finished first in regional Battle of the Bands to open for Metallica in Halifax and performed well in the final round. Severed reign is currently writing material for it's follow up cd. Drop the Blade
