Severe Jones

       Born and raised in the Morris Heights section of Bronx, New York, just minutes away from the Hip Hop legendary 1520 Sedgwick Avenue and Cedar Park,  Anthony “Severe Jones” Robinson found the passion for music at an early age. Surrounded by music due to his father playing in a band and at times holding rehearsals in his home, having rhythm became second nature for Severe Jones. Leading into High School,  rhyming and rapping like the legends who came before him was a new found love. Writing and recording music with childhood friends turned from a hobby to a dream, and that is when quest for original beats and production became the missing link. At the time every label had their “crew” and the “crew’s producer” so of coarse being a fan of the art, Severe wanted the same thing and that is when Severe Jones the artist also became Severe Jones the Producer. With Lessons and mentoring from his cousin Mahogany Beats, who produced for artists such as Jay Z, Mariah Carey, Dr. Dre, etc., Severe knew he had shoes to fill. As years went by and landing records with Jadakiss, Uncle Murda, Wyclef Jean, and working side by side with one of his favorite producers Swizz Beatz’s uncle and CEO of Ruff Ryders, Severe Jones is in his words, “Just getting started.”
