Emergenza in Washington DC kicked off this past weekend at our home of many years - the Velvet Lounge. Friday night opened with the the jazzy-blues sounds of Cosine who nicely warmed up the crowd with some 50/60's groove. Kysmet took the stage next - their loud metallic guitars & vocals a sharp contrast the evening's other performances. The night's champions - Sex & Missiles - stole the show with their energetic debut performance. Great vocals and a good showing - keep your eyes on these guys! Caustic Kindness next took the stage, another impressive performance with strong bass sounds and great songs. Star FK Radium - a wise play on words, as any DC area resident will note - closed the night with some classic country rock nicely accentuated by a lead acoustic guitar.
The Brodan Jazz Experience were the first to take the stage on Saturday. The group of high school students wowed all those present with sound & skill well beyond their years. Next, The Empire State took the stage - and despite the tough crowd in front of them put on a flawless pop rock performance. Next, the insightful words & sounds of The Cornel West Theory - inspiring everyone to open their hearts and minds - and they're great musicians too!! Almost Human took us to a different place - musically that is - with some good ol'fashion metal. A more mellow **Identity** followed, their sound pleasing those present. Finally, Kyro, with the only female performer of the weekend got everyone on their feet and put on an impressive show for all those gathered in front of the stage.
Thanks to the Velvet Lounge and to all the bands who pulled it all together in such a brief period of time.

We are 4 guys from 4 very different backgrounds and together we're a melting pot of sound. Yet it's a sound that unites all genres.
We bring the best of everything into our performance which creates a party at every show! With songs that keep you moving from head to toe.
We're story tellers with a feel good sound and its contagious as it spreads around.
Surprisingly we get along unlike most bands do. And we've become the best of friends in a business that can ruin you.
As cliche as it sounds a lot of it has to do with timing and luck but what people always seem to forget is the drive and persistence that goes along with it. And in this unreliable and fickle world we've come together.
