Bio

"It’s really that hipster, Spin magazine, dance-electro rock with the tight American Apparel spandex, you know what I’m saying? Musically they’re great and they’ll get the party started."
-SEE magazine

With a wide variety of artistic influence and individual style Paige Graham (lead vocals), Jason Stashko (bass guitar/vocals), Dan Gervais (keyboard/synths) and Tyler Archibald (drums), the members of Sex Party, come together to create a unique electro, indie sound that’s sure to get everyone in the room dancing.

In their first few months of playing together Sex Party had already begun performing shows and festivals all over Alberta and BC with many diverse acts such as The Mae Shi, Hot Panda, Frosted Tipz, Five Star Affair, Jane Vain and the Dark Matter and Beija Flor and continually plays in and out of town gigs at just as many different venues. They’ve held a spot at Bc’s Shambhala, Edmontons Oak and Elm and Calgary’s Mukwa festivals and have played well over 100 shows.

"Who doesn't love a sexy party? Ones where the participants are smokin' hot, as is the case with this Red Deer quartet, are especially great."

"I expect the term Sex Party will soon hold a whole new meaning; Look for it in the lights."
-GodsGirls

Sex Party has also been interviewed on and played live in Calgary’s CJSW studio, placed several times in the top 10 on cjsw’s to 50 chart, interviewed on and played live in Edmonton’s CJSR studio, played on Calgary’s FUEL 90.3 and CJSW, Vancouvers CiTR, reviewed, promoted and interviewed in Edmonton’s Exclaim!, See and Vue Weekly magazines, Calgary’s FFWD, Beatroute, and Gauntlet magazines, Vancouvers DiSCORDER, featured on AfterEllen.com and interviewed on GodsGirls.com fetish site.

In 2007, after only being together just under a year, Sex Party released their first full length self titled CD earning them a great response. Shortly after releasing their first album, Sex Party headed out on a month long west coast tour to promote themselves and their new disk. With a second album in the works and a relocation to Vancouver, Sex Party plans to top each years accomplishments with the next. Noted for their entertaining, high energy live performance, Sex Party gains new fans each time they play and continues to promote their first disk while writing and performing music that will appear on anticipated albums to come.

"Hushed melodic sub-synth themes dodge around walls of alternately post-punk and industrial guitars, fitting perfectly into the hyper-sexualised, obnoxious stereotype headed by followers of perverted 'Teaches of Peaches' disciples like Stinkmitt."
