"Sexy Summers - Old Days"

Sexy Summers is the electro pop duo of Josh Bilton and Sean O’Hanlon. The pair from the UK say they seek to write tracks that are so catchy that they’ll be stuck in your mind. If Old Days is any indication, they’re coming close to mastering the formula.

This is synthpop, pure and simple. It’s upbeat, catchy, and is perfect for summer in my opinion. It’s happy and dance-y; it just begs for you to let loose. There’s no guilt in enjoying music like this. Sometimes, it’s just as important to have light pop as trying to listen to something profound. At least in my mind. Enjoy! - 1146 Miles

"Introducing Roulette Tip"

This Easter Sunday we picked up an Introducing Roulette tip from the show formerly (and more interestingly) known as The Friday Night Gerbil. The Telford duo Sexy Summers were recommended by Rob Fanner from the programme we must now learn to call BBC Introducing In Shropshire. - Tom Robinson BBC Radio 6

Bio

Sexy Summers is the electro pop creation of dynamic musical duo Josh Bilton and Sean O’Hanlon who draw influences from radio friendly pop classics to more alternative and Synth based acts that society cant get enough of whilst maintaining a strong original signature sound.

The Sexy Summers regime is simple, to write tracks that are so catchy, they wont stop bouncing off the walls of your mind. Recent gig sound checks have confirmed that this philosophy is working too, with other bands humming the Summers’ tracks aloud after one hearing which cant be a bad thing.
In the short time Sexy Summers have been creating music for the good weather masses, they have received outstanding feedback from their local BBC Introducing team, having tracks played on the unsigned show as well as playing a 4 song live set.

Both members come from similar musical backgrounds, moving through the musical ranks listening to and loving the same pool of artists, each burning a love for both the commercial and the underground music scenes. Combining these styles hasn't been an easy thing to attempt, and up to now, it is something that the boys have not yet conquered. Under the Sexy Summers moniker is where everything changes. Drawing musical influences from literally everyone and everything, ranging from the disjointed chord styles of Debussy, the throw it in the mix style of writing seen from The Beatles, through to the overall madness of everything that Lady Gaga is with a whole lot more in between, the tracks give you a sense of everything you have heard before, with a whole lot of something new poured in for good measure.

The latter half of 2010 was a good start for the synth infected duo. Notching up a handful of London gigs before the year finally wound down, and playing a selection of intimate hometown gigs. But since then their sound has evolved, after some advice from producer Starsmith of Ellie Goulding, Cheryl Cole and Kylie Minogue fame they reworked all of their songs from the ground up and the future sound was born. An electro pop snowball is imminent. 2011 looks to be a good year where synth pop is concerned. Together we will make the Summer Sexy.
