S.George Brown

S.George Brown. Current bass player for Canada's 'Trooper', embarks on his new "crooner" style jazz singing career. He and piano player Bill Perison are wowing crowds all over Vancouver Island and the lower mainland.

S.George Brown here.
I've enjoyed a pretty great career in Music; I'm the current bass player for the legendary Canadian rock icons 'Trooper'.
I've also been a huge fan of the great singers (Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, Nat"King" Cole...) and the lives that they lived for as long as I can remember. I knew that I could sing those tunes and have had dreams of doing it for years.
After a great deal of studying the stylizations of these singers, then more time learning how to create a vocal sound of my own, I think I'm finally there!
This style of music needs to continue to be represented in a way that brings respect to what I think of as "The golden age of song writing".
I feel confident that I have something to add to the legacy pioneered by these wonderful and timeless voices millions have been enjoying for decades.
I, along with piano player and writing partner Bill Perison, have just completed our first CD and we are currently seeking management, distribution, licencing, and a recording deal (in what ever order it happens!)

Complete 12 song CD with four originals, three '70s re-writes and five American Jazz Standards.
Mixed and ready to go.
