Musically influenced by great hip hop artists like NAS, Outkast, and Bone Thugs in Harmony, the Southern born and raised lyricist, Sha'Quan has composed an EP of positive melodic messages on the 2019 released, Preparatory Perplexing, that will leave you speechless, introspective and desiring more!
Sha'Quan's major motivation for creating great musical lyrics is “to help people get out of their situation”, whatever their situation may be; their life situation could be a break-up, poverty, crime, a lifestyle, or basic life transitions. Sha'Quan’s mantra is “God, Family, Football", which encompasses his love of the game that originally brought him to Minneapolis, MN where he now resides. Sha'Quan is multi-talented and multifaceted; He was a star football player on scholarship to play for a local Minnesota college, but instead he found himself writing and producing an arioso head banger single, “Dedicated" a 2019 release that is independent from his debut album on ITunes, and Preparatory Perplexing, that uplifts, focuses and moves you with each rhythm and lyric.
Although Sha'Quan has been in the business of making music since 2012, Preparatory Perplexing and “Dedicated” are his first official releases in rotation on Spotify and on sale on iTunes music. Currently, you can expect to see and hear Sha'Quan at local Open Mic nights in the Twin Cities fellowshipping with other Independent Artists and sharing his gift of music with the world.
