Shabuungo Ouda Ouuda

Shabuungo Ouda Ouda Hails from the parish of St. Thomas, Jamaica to the flat lands of Port more, St. Catherine where Mother Nature started taking its course in guiding this charismatic and charming individual towards the music industry.

In 1980 he was extremely enthusiastic about starting the dance group that would call themselves Khaki Rebels. A year later after a lot of hard work this group was presented with the opportunity to dance on Jamaica's JBC Television program "Where It's At" produced by one of Jamaica's renowned producer Alfonso Walker. The group was also fortunate to perform with artists such as Jah B Bunny Wailer on the first Reggae Youth Conscious Show at the national stadium.

Loving the vibration of performing live Ouda Ouda knew that he wanted to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. After being invited to MC at school programs, youth clubs and community events He would be well received by the audiences with a positive response. Ouda Ouda was later invited to perform at such Hotels as Oceana, Wyndham, New Kingston, Morgans Harbor and La Roose Restaurant. He was greatly supported by employees and guests that suggested he move full force into the music Business saying that "Ouda Ouda” Naturally moves people in a positive way.

Ouda Ouda developed his musical skills as a result of listening to the elders in the business, such as the late-great Bob Marley, Burning Spear, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, Don Carlos, Sugar Minott, The Great Daddy U-Roy, Brigadier Jerry, Jose Wails, Super cat, Dennis Brown and Professor Nuts. All of these individuals have inspired him and paved the way.

In 1992 He auditioned for one of the Pioneers in the industry Derrick Harriott who thought that Shabuungo had a unique way of saying things over rhythms which brought Him to voice on the classic Hit track of the 1960's "The Loser". He later Recorded His first single with the Crystal Label Recordings. The title of the song was called"Chuup's" a combination with Harriott Himself. They recorded a couple more tracks such as "Mi Nuh Trust People” “Skin to Skin “and Hard Core MC". Some of these songs were released in England, the United States and did very well in Japan.

While spending time with Crystal Records, He had the privilege of performing at Sting and Reggae Sun Splash 1993. Later working with Producers such as Jr. Finder from 7-17 Marshall Label he voiced and released songs such as "Word Sounds and Power”. Later that year he recorded "Reggae Music in Nah Mi Head". Linking up with Dr Andre Foote” of Bigfoot Productions and Star Trail .They release the hit single "Jah Jah Must Come" on the "Raid the Born" rhythm with Anthony B and many more Reggae Artist was also on that same Rhythm,which was a very good opening for this Reggae Chanter
Since arriving in Calgary, Alberta Canada in 2002 Shabuungo Ouda Ouda has kept Himself busy on the Reggae scene Performing on all major Reggae and musical events in the city. These include Global Fest, Afrika day, Calgary International Reggae Festival. Taste of Jamaica,LI-Lac Festival and Carifest. He has been the opening act for Sizzla Kalonji at the Space.Fred Locks Asha,the late great Mikey Dread He has graced the stages at many venues including Night Gallery, The Ship and Anchor,HiFi night club He has also performed alongside other reggae artists in Canada such as King Ujah, Ibo and the Kin Dread Band. Shellane, Bianca, Black Rose, Joshua, JUST.In 2009 Shabuungo Ouda Ouda keep the musical fire burning.Opening for Richie Spice,Spanner Banner and DJ Kenny,when they stop in Calgary doing there. Bringing back the LOVE-PEACE& UNITY in to Reggae Music Tour.Lighting the fire for the GYPTIAN show and was one of the opening Performer for the Mavado show at the Whisky night club in Calgary. The YaahBong Artist keep His audience energize at the Reggae Festival 2009 with his 4 year old son, Prince Oshwah. He love every moment of it. The Name Shabuungo OudaOuda is a corner stone in the city of Calgary.You call his name and he will answer and Representing for sure. The Drum and the Monkey & Bambo down Town Calgary is always Happening on a Tuesday Night for the pass 14 years and Oud Ouda as been in Action there.Dub at the Pub, Where you get to see and hear Shabuungo and His Chanter Braddah I-Real, with DJ Big Al & Elijah keeping the House Rocking. Ouda Ouda has been invited and Re-invited many Times to Cities such as Vancouver, Nelson, Sunshine Coast, Red Deer, Edmonton, Banff, Canmore, Lake Louise, Winnipeg, Saskatoon and Regina.
