Weather they are playing in front of a small group of friends, or a packed house, they put their all into every show. What I like about their songs, is they are heavy, but they still have meaning to them, and you can make out the lyrics. Shackle brings metal to a new plateau, and definately brings the Western Mass. music scene to another level. These guys are the shit!, and there is no doubt they will make it! they have the passion, and most of all the drive to succeed!"

Kicked off by a gothic introduction in the dark, and ending with the clear growled words "of metal", Shackle exploded into their set Saturday night at the Cabot St Pub in Chicopee, MA, with the song "Within My Bones".
Vocalist Chris Poudrier thundered through the song with gutteral howls yet allowed himself to convert quickly into a melodic reprise at the flip of a coin, while guitarist Josh Smith provided backup growls.
One song that particularly stuck in my head would be "epic". From the first line of lyrics -- "fearing the end of the world!!!" -- through the instrumental interludes, Shackle made me believe that the end of the world was actually happening as I watched them perform! Changing rythem, the tune leads into a short jam, which involves a mixture of bass lines by Eli Jacobs and guitar effects by John Gates. The pulse of their fusion flows flawlessly into a continuous beat that makes your head bounce whether you want it to or not. The song reaches an ultimate climax with Chris' despairing, yet phenomenal "uh-Oh!" implying as if to make you think to yourself, "oh my god we're all gonna die!!!" -- a clear sign of the worthiness to adrenaline-soaked rock music that Shackle proves themselves to be.
Shackle's addicting heavy beats, resounding drums, shattering guitar riffs and gut-wrenching yet controlled vocals, place their audience in a frenzied bondage that will hold fans in an irresistible focus point where the only thing that passes through their minds will be the power that the band wields. - Dj-Kissy
