Bio

The Indianapolis-based band Shadeland was formed by long-time friends singer/guitarist Allen Kell, drummer Brad Hudgins, and bassist James Wuerch. The band sought to add another layer to their already powerful sound by adding keyboard player Ian Donahue in 2004. Shadeland released their debut album “Escape Plan” in March 2005 on Burning Bridges Records. Shadeland recently released "Sleeping Through Earthquakes" in February 2006. Both efforts were recorded and mixed by singer/guitarist Allen Kell. Shadeland can best be described as an indie rock band with more hooks than a pirate convention.

Opened for National Acts: Tsunami Bomb, Kane Hodder, Crowned King, Open Hand, Calico System, Brandston, Brazil, Bleed the Dream, The Loved Ones, Tubring, Quiet Drive, the Fags, Deep Enough to Die

Shadeland has showcased at the following music conferences including:

Midwest Music Summit - Indianapolis
Midpoint Music Festival – Cincinnati
MOBfest - Chicago

The band was also named one of X103’s (WRZX) top ten local bands and was currently one of seven finalists in the Battle of the Bands in Indianapolis (which over 200 bands participated).

“Shadeland (these guys are amazing musicians and even though I'm not a fan of the whole Minus the Bear type genre, christ these dudes are so tight and on their game that I have to say that they do indeed rule pretty hard”
