Bio

So...Shades of Amber began in the fall of 2003 and ever since it's been a journey of creating and molding a band. It's been quite an evolution. Added instruments here, left instruments there all the while hosting great musicians but more so great friends. Some we don't see much anymore, others still close but none forgotten. It all is part of the story that is Shades of Amber and that story is about creating music, the most honest and best we can. In fact we hate recording only 'cause what we produce right afterwards we always think is our best! But there's been Tim and Neil since the early days and today rounding out the trio is the young yet finest bassist we've been blessed to hang with, Keith. And still the focus hasn't changed: it's all about creating music. We hold to no genre or style we just stay true to the muse that guides us. "We play Shades of Amber music 'cause we are Shades of Amber, not trying to be anything or anyone else...we hope you like it. Either way, let's get a beer." Going to back to their roots, 2006 is producing the new Shades of Amber sound founded on folk/indie mixed with classic Americana. Be on the look out this spring/summer for new music and plenty of shows! See you soon...

Update on Recording: Still working with the amazing Reed & Will and are so excited and anxious to let you all in on the secret....soon....

We have had the most excellent oppurtunity to share the stage with these fine bands: Signal to Noise, Facing New York, (die) Pilot, Meese, Valerie, The Snake The Cross The Crown, Joshua Novak, Waking Ashland, Hot Rod Circuit, Piebald, The Valley Arena, Pistolita, The New Amsterdams, Mike Hayden, June, Terminal, The Empties, In Passing, The Audible Campaign, The Sacred Dice, Nural, This Providence, Timothy Thomas Cleary, The Photo Atlas
