Shadow Lover started as a conceptual love song project by Ava Omega Shadow Jarden in the Fall of 2010. Originally the themes were of Love, Loss, and Lust. After the release of the album "The Inception", Shadow Lover has grown, adding the new theme of Lies, as well as new band members Alana Coy Moskowitz and Tommy T-Bird Hottpants. Shadow Lover performances are site-specific with each venue treated as a customized show, involving various rotations of movement artists and video art. Shadow Lover takes love songs and performance to a weird world of emotional death pop.
