Shadows

Shadows is an alternative indie rock band originating in Surrey. Founding members Ashley (lead vocals, guitar), Dianne (lead guitar), and Kyle (bass) came together in 2011 to form the band previously known as Epic Trip and with the addition of new drummer, Chris, the name was changed to Shadows late that same year. Although this line-up has only performed together for less than a year, it's easy to see that they have already formed a tight bond.

In the few months working with each other, Shadows has gained the attention of fans all over the Lower Mainland with their aggressive twist on modern indie music. Their unique sound inspired by the likes of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arctic Monkeys, and The Strokes, is sure to captivate and get audiences moving. Most recently, Shadows competed in Youthink Magazine's province-wide youth band competition, "BC's Best Teen Band," and with their high energy stage presence, won the second place prize. They also competed in this year's City Jam, a youth band competition in their hometown of Surrey, and also placed second. Shadows hopes to use all the industry knowledge and feedback they received at these competitions to further develop their music and this summer are looking to finish their first EP.
